Clinical & Forensic Psychologist

Susan holds Master’s degrees in both Clinical and Forensic Psychology and is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist with over 20 years of experience and has worked with clients across the lifespan from little children to older adults, families and couples. Her experience includes all mental health disorders varying from simple to complex presentations. From Personality Disorder, Developmental Trauma, PTSD and Complex Trauma to persistent Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Substance Use, Eating Disorders and Adjustment Disorder. She also works extensively with Neurological disorders and presentations and assesses and works with clients with ADHD, ASD, AuDHD and psychological symptoms and impacts of autonomic disorders.

She uses a non-judgemental person-centred approach when working with her clients and believes clients are their own expert. Her approach is compassionate and collaborative and ensures the working environment is safe and non-judgemental. She is known for her empathy, warmth and kindness but also incorporates the occasional touch of humour in her work with clients.

She utilises evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Hypnosis, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). She also utilises Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy principles to support her clients to develop an understanding into the patterns and function of their cognitions, emotions and behaviours and make meaningful long-lasting change and achieve their goals and become more functional, happier and healthier in their overall well-being.

Susan consults clinically on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
